Two Thursday nights ago, chefs Fahima Jilani of Mosa Mosa and Javier McLeod-King of Foodie & Grubbies put together a Bangladeshi x Jamaican menu.
Thirty odd foodies sat around to taste curry chicken shatkora (famous Jamaican curry with pickled Bengali lime), a plantain and lentil bora with a seasonal British plum chutney (recipe below). Not to mention the Caribbean dumpling in Ras Malai dipping milk. It was sensational to say the least.
In order to celebrate Bengali and Jamaican culture, especially during Black History Month, chefs Javier and Fahima are sharing the recipe to the plantain and lentil bora recipe below.
